No Money...Honey

I don’t have money but I have love. Yes, it sounds mushy but I really don’t have the means as of yet to buy something special for my husband.  With just a few coins left in my wallet, the only item I could afford to buy for him was a heart-shaped Kitkat, which is his favorite chocolate. He called me a few hours ago from his work and said that he received a pleasant surprise when he saw the Kitkat I placed inside his lunch bag.  I let him sleep early last night so he wouldn’t know that I was up to something.  Sneaky me? You bet! Hehe.  I just figured that nothing is more special than the thought and act of giving, regardless of the price.

Happy Hearts’ Day to Johnny! It’s our first Valentine together as husband and wife.  We may not have everything we are wishing for at this moment, but as I’ve told him during our wedding, I am willing to take each step slowly towards our dreams as long as we are together.

To my family and friends, HAPPY VALENTINE to you as well! Let us continue to be givers of love to all around us.  As Mohandas Gandhi once said, “Love never claims; it ever gives.”

Reg! This is the first time I read one of your blogs. I love the honesty/candidness! And of course, thank you to Ms. Castillo for the good sentence construction.

I like your writing style. May future ka! But I should say I am most proud to see that your heart is in the right place. I read the other blogs and I realized... talagang tunay kang SHSian. Truth in Love pa din ang prinsipyo!

I'm proud of you girl!

p.s. send me your e-mail addy. I will send you some tips on inexpensive surprises.

Happy Valentine's Day, Ms. O! Ingat po kayo!

Sharee! Thanks for visiting my blogsite. Oo naman, Truth In Love parati. In whatever way we can, we have to be living testimonies of what had been taught us. :) Will send you my email addy soon. Na-excite naman ako bigla sa mga tips mo!

Diane, belated happy hearts' day din sa'yo! I saw your pics...nakauwi ka pala ng Pilipinas nung Pasko. I'm sure you were very happy to see your family and friends.

Hi Ms. O! Thank you po :)

Yup, umuwi po ako nung Pasko :) First time ko po na mag-Christmas ulit sa bahay after four years. So I had the time of my life :)

Ingat po kayo!

wow how sweet reg! its good you updated your blog again...i check your blog every so often because ienjoy reading what you write...commercialism just sometimes convinces us that when we give an inexpensive gift then we may have given less...but your thoughtfulness in thinking what Juanny likes and at a most unlikely place at that am sure made his day...it only served to remind him am sure that you are truly with him in the adventure already...your big heart was in the gift and am sure that would be much more precious than a brand new anything but without you....

write write and treasure such precious gestures 'mare!

Hi Reggie, havent read your blog in a while until now. As always, you really are a good writer, and I must say that this really makes sense. I agree with you on this 100%! I dont care if it's mushy, it's true and that's what counts. Miss you girl!
